If you can’t access the Web Interface via hoobs.local there are several steps you can walk through to regain access to it.
Check if you are able to access HOOBS after each step
-
Try to connect via http://hoobs (no domain) or http://hoobs.lan (some routers)
-
Reboot your Router to refresh hostname resolving (Device got a new IP address and hoobs.local points to the old address)
-
Download HOOBS Client Apps
-
Use a wired connection via ethernet cable and connect the device to to your main node (Router)
-
Check if the ethernet port lights are on (amber steady, green blinking)
-
Lookup the IP address of HOOBS in your Routers connected devices list, try http://IPADRESSOFHOOBS
If you can reach the user interface, perform a reboot via user interface to update the hoobs.local to the new IP address.
If Point 5/6 fails:
Your device does not boot correctly. Try to power-cycle the device. Otherwise you need to reflash your Device
If you’re using Windows, you must have the Apple Bonjour Service installed then restart your computer after installing it
